Who is responsible

UPENDWA is operated from Rwanda. Company registration is in progress; full legal details will be added here once registered.

Contact for privacy questions: support@upendwa.com.

Information we collect

Account details: name, email, phone (optional), date of birth, gender, country and city.

Profile content: photos, bio, interests, languages, relationship intentions and preferences.

Activity: likes, passes, matches, messages, reports and blocks.

Verification: a selfie you choose to submit, seen only by you and our review team.

How we use it

To show you compatible people, run matching, deliver messages and keep the community safe.

Messages are private between the two matched people. Our team only sees a message if it is reported to us.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for outside advertising.

Who can see what

Other members see your profile only if you are discoverable and you fit each other's preferences. Photos are never publicly listed.

Blocked people cannot see you. Reporters are never revealed to the person reported.

How long we keep data

If you request deletion, your profile is hidden at once and your account, photos, matches and messages are permanently erased after 30 days. You can cancel before then in Settings.

Records of moderation decisions may be kept as long as needed for safety and legal reasons. [To confirm with legal review.]

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile, change who sees you, and delete your account at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it.

We intend to follow Rwanda's law on the protection of personal data and privacy. [Legal review to confirm registration and cross-border transfer requirements.]

Changes

We will tell you about important changes before they take effect.
